First due residential structure fire

Sussex County Box Alarm 74-5; Stations 74 Delmar, 81 Laurel, 79 Gumboro and 6 Parsonsburg were dispatched for a residential structure fire on the Delaware side. 74 Command, Engine-Tanker 74-2 and Truck 74-4 responded and found heavy fire through on the second floor of the residence. A 'working fire dispatch' was declared adding other fire stations to the alarm including Salisbury, Pittsville, Blades, Seaford, Sharptown and Millsboro. No injuries were reported and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office. Units operated for just under 3 hours.
