Delmar Firefighters practised RIT skills during a recent training night. RIT is Rapid Intervention Team, specially trained firefighters who are on stand-by at a working fireground to quickly rescue trapped, injured or missing firefighters.  RIT training includes firefighter carries, knowledge of ropes and knots, ladder techniques, webbing, rescue air supply and teamwork.
